This 1 day workshop is for people who have little or no experience working with studio lighting or who want to brush up on their knowledge.

Learn how to properly meter, expose and manipulate studio lighting to get the results you want and open up your creative lighting such as adding fill light to ambient window lighting.

Hands-on demonstrations with a model and still life displays will help put to use basic lighting principles.

Bring your questions, creativity, pen, paper, and your mirrorless camera or DSLR.

ARTIST BIO:

Michael van Gelder is an Orlando-based internationally published commercial photographer who specializes in documentary and fine art photography.

Best known for being "The Photographer that plays by the RULES!"

Owner and Head Photographer of Gelderland Productions, L.L.C.

Successful completion of commercial, wedding, event, along with concert, entertainment and other photographic assignments requiring planning, follow-through, and results that meet client objectives.

Born in Bavaria, Germany, Michael van Gelder arrived in America at an early age and discovered a love for the arts. Being a working musician for years. Michael has had years of experience in studio recording, performing live and touring.

During his musical journey, Michael learned he had a talent for photography. He enjoys photographing a variety of subjects and has a vast portfolio.

He is internationally published as his work has appeared in publications that include Vintage Guitar Magazine, Music Entertainment Magazine, All Access Magazine, and Guitar World Magazine, just to name a few. Photographic interests are wide and varied. In addition to his entertainment work Michael also accepts a variety of commercial assignments.

Well known for his entertainment and portrait photography, Michael has also established himself as a gifted photographic educator. Getting people interested in documenting their surrounds and life for future generations.
